As part of the Hydrology Days 2026, the Italian Young Hydrologic Society (YHS-IT), the branch of the Italian Hydrological Society dedicated to PhD students and early-career researchers, will organize two events aimed at fostering discussion, networking, and community building among young hydrologists.
Monday, 29 June 2026, from 11:00 a.m.: YHS-IT Meeting and Annual Assembly
The morning session will be dedicated to the presentation of YHS-IT activities, the annual assembly, and an interactive discussion on the key themes of the Hydrology Days. The outcomes of this discussion will contribute to the round-table session scheduled for the following day. Lunch will be provided for all participants.
Wednesday, 1 July 2026, 3:00 p.m.: Seminar: “Visualise Your Data Effectively and Avoid Common Pitfalls”
Dr. Paola Mazzoglio (Politecnico di Torino) will deliver a seminar focused on effective data visualization and communication, highlighting common mistakes and best practices for presenting scientific results.
Join the Community
All PhD students and early-career researchers are warmly encouraged to take part in these activities, which provide valuable opportunities for scientific exchange, professional development, and networking within the hydrological community.
We also invite senior researchers and group leaders to promote the initiative and encourage participation from young members of their research groups.
Further information about YHS-IT activities and previous editions of the Hydrology Days can be found on the YHS website.
