To attend the event (in addition to regularize your membership status), it is necessary to complete this registration form by Friday, June 19, 2026.
VENUE
The conference days will take place at the Morgagni Teaching Center of the University of Florence, Auditorium B, located at Viale Giovanni Battista Morgagni 40, 50134 Florence (FI), Italy.
PRESENTATIONS AT HYDROLOGY DAYS
Oral presentations and posters (with a “flash” presentation) are planned. These will be scheduled during the event directly by the Scientific Committee, based on content and keywords, without prior division into thematic sessions. Contributions presenting innovative research and applications aimed at the qualitative and quantitative description of the components of the hydrological cycle are welcome. In particular, relevant topics include ground-based and satellite hydrometeorological monitoring, forecasting and mitigation of the effects of extreme hydro-meteorological events, and the planning and sustainable management of water resources, also in the context of global change.
ORAL PRESENTATION: The oral presentation must have a maximum duration of 12 minutes and should be organized in digital slides in 16:9 format.
POSTER PRESENTATION: In the case of a poster presentation with a flash presentation, the poster size must be A0 portrait. The template can be found at the following link. The flash presentation, lasting 1 minute, must be submitted in PowerPoint format (a single 16:9 slide using the provided template) to the specified email address by Thursday, June 25, 2026.
YHS-IT ACTIVITIES
We would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the activities organized by the Italian Young Hydrologic Society (YHS-IT), the branch of the Italian Hydrological Society dedicated to PhD students and early-career researchers, which will take place at the beginning and the end of the conference.
- On Monday, June 29, starting at 11:00 a.m. (with lunch provided for participants), a meeting will be held to present YHS-IT activities, conduct the annual assembly, and engage in a participatory discussion on the key themes of the Italian Hydrology Days. The outcomes of this discussion will contribute to the round-table session on Tuesday.
- On Wednesday, July 1, in the afternoon, Paola Mazzoglio (Politecnico di Torino) will deliver a seminar entitled “Visualise Your Data Effectively and Avoid Common Pitfalls.”
We warmly encourage all PhD students and early-career researchers to take part in these opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and community building. At the same time, we invite all colleagues to help promote the initiative and encourage participation from young members of their research groups, fostering dialogue and networking opportunities. More information about YHS-IT activities and previous editions is available on the YHS website: YHS – Italian Hydrology Days 2025 and YHS-IT Activities
