The Florisa Melone Award, now in its ninth edition and supported by Dr. Melone’s family, is a tribute to her memory and to the value of the research carried out during her distinguished scientific career.
The award is intended for collaborative research projects proposed by young members in good standing for the year 2026, with the main objective of advancing scientific knowledge in the following areas:
- qualitative and quantitative analysis of the components of the hydrological cycle
- risk management related to extreme hydro-meteorological events
- sustainable planning and management of water resources in the context of global change
Applicants are requested to specify in the submission email (which should not be sent from a certified PEC email address) their intention to apply for the Florisa Melone Award selection procedure and to attach the corresponding application form.
The deadline for submission is May 12, 2026. The same research group may also apply to the Paolo Bernardi Award call.
