The Paolo Bernardi Award, established in 2024 and supported by CAE SpA, is dedicated to the memory of Eng. Bernardi and his distinguished career in operational hydrology and hydrological instrumentation.
The award is aimed at collaborative research projects proposed by young members in good standing for the year 2026. It specifically targets applied research projects that advance operational practice through non-structural solutions based on real-time monitoring for the management and mitigation of risks associated with extreme hydro-meteorological events and for the management of water resources.
Applicants should indicate in the submission email (which should not be sent from a certified PEC email address) their intention to apply for the Paolo Bernardi Award selection and attach the corresponding application form, specifying if it is the same proposal submitted for another award. The same research group may also apply to the Florisa Melone Award call.
The deadline for submissions is May 12, 2026.
