As previously announced, the 2026 Hydrology Days will take place at the University of Florence from the early afternoon of Monday, June 29, until lunchtime on Wednesday, July 1. The event is titled: “Water between risk and resource: understanding, forecasting and adaptation – Hydrology Days sixty years after the Florence flood.”
Oral presentations and posters (with a “flash” presentation) are planned. These will be scheduled during the event directly by the Scientific Committee, based on content and keywords, without prior division into thematic sessions. Contributions presenting innovative research and applications aimed at the qualitative and quantitative description of the components of the hydrological cycle are welcome. In particular, relevant topics include ground-based and satellite hydrometeorological monitoring, forecasting and mitigation of the effects of extreme hydro-meteorological events, and the planning and sustainable management of water resources, also in the context of global change.
Participants wishing to contribute are invited to submit, by April 20, 2026, an abstract in Italian or English (maximum 2 pages, maximum 1 figure and/or table), using the attached Word template, indicating a preference for oral or poster presentation, via the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/24ESGHt4CMiWosrT8
